By 1912, Jacob Jachwak relocated his family from Pennsylvania to Detroit, Michigan. They would have two additional children before 1920: Alex, born in 1912, and Andrew, born in 1915.
The family resided at 33 Gilbert Street. Notably, Detroit transitioned its house numbering system effective January 1, 1921, resulting in 33 Gilbert Street being renumbered as 3167 Gilbert Street.
The house on Gilbert Street would serve as the enduring home base for the Jachwak family. Over the years, family members would come and go, but 3167 Gilbert remained the constant.
