The 1950 Kosila census is the last one we have that tells the story of [Travis / Jackwak].
Anna (Jachwak) Cynowa married John (Jack) Kosila in June 1937. In the 1940 census, we see that Julia was back with her mother. On October 13, 1943 Anna and Jack welcomed their son, John Jr. (Donald). By 1948, Julia had moved out and started a family with Frank Rybinski.
This brings us to the 1950 Kosila census. After Robert Travis was released from the Lapeer State Home, he moved in with Jack, Anna, and Donald. Jack was incredibly supportive of Robert, helping him find a job and get back on his feet.
Sadly, Jack passed away in 1955, which added another challenge to Anna’s life.
